Walter Kittredge, Curatorial Assistant, conducts monthly ‘tree walks’  at The Middlesex Fells Reservation (The Fells). There are over 100 miles of walking and hiking paths to choose from within this oasis abuting several urban communites. Walter has spent years researching The Fells’ plant life, co-authoring a nine-year study of changes in vascular fauna, and is currently conducting work on mosses and lichen. Walter's work, and The Fells, are both highlighted in the September-October 2018 issue of Harvard Magazine: The Fells: Just north of Boston, a wild park is filled with forests, lakes, and rocky hills.
