The Royal Society of Biology (England) has awarded their Postgraduate Textbook Prize to Curating Biocultural Collections: A Handbook, the first major curation manual for biocultural collections. HUH staff members Judy Warnement and Julie Shapiro were contributors to the book; Judy aided in a chapter entitled “Cataloguing and curation of ethnobiological books and archives” and Julie provided several photographs. The judges said: "A stunningly visual and engaging book with a crisp, clear and example rich style. It captivates the reader with its breadth of topics and range of examples, case studies and photographs."
